Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Abdi Ahmed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ahmed's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Muhammed Ali RIP. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ahmed dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ahmed has been working on his boxing with his coaches at *****MY YARD***** in the buildup to the fight.
Ahmed tries to close the distance and clinch up but Magomedov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Magomedov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ahmed was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Magomedov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ahmed lands a nice hook to Magomedov's body. Magomedov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Magomedov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Magomedov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Magomedov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ahmed, who protects the arm well.

Ahmed escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Magomedov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ahmed has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Magomedov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Magomedov goes for a double leg but Ahmed avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ahmed continues to drive forward.

Magomedov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ahmed avoids it really well and circles away.

Magomedov shoots for a double leg takedown but Ahmed sprawls well. He's pushed Magomedov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Magomedov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ahmed's waist but Ahmed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Magomedov off to one side.

Ahmed moves into the clinch.

Magomedov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ahmed lands a left hand that snaps the head of Magomedov backwards.
Magomedov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ahmed pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Magomedov tries to score a body lock takedown but Ahmed shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Magomedov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ahmed is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Magomedov tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Ahmed is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Magomedov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ahmed has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Magomedov has managed to get both his arms back between Ahmed's legs - danger averted.

Ahmed is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Magomedov has his hands clasped together but Ahmed extends and breaks Magomedov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ahmed.
