And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ahhh Choo!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choo loads up on a big right hand but Koreshkov slips the punch.
Koreshkov takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Koreshkov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Choo defends well and Koreshkov ends up having to push Choo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Koreshkov goes for a double leg but Choo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Choo continues to drive forward.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Choo! But no joy.
Koreshkov misses with a few strikes there.
Choo lands a nice looking body shot.
Choo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Koreshkov was well out of range. Poor timing from Choo.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Choo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Koreshkov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Koreshkov thows a huge punch but Choo dodges it nicely.
Choo felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Koreshkov moves nicely into side control.
The strikes coming from Koreshkov are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Koreshkov postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Koreshkov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Choo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Koreshkov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Koreshkov postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Choo badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Koreshkov around the waist but Koreshkov pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Koreshkov is the winner by TKO! Koreshkov jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Koreshkov!
