Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arturus Pendragon!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pendragon clinches up against the cage.
James misses with an elbow over the top.

Pendragon decides to pull guard.
Pendragon wants to get back to his feet but James is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pendragon keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.
James won't allow Pendragon to get back to his feet.

Pendragon is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pendragon.
Pendragon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
James cracks Pendragon with a nice body shot.
James is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

James is pressed up against the cage. Pendragon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag James down to the mat. James avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pendragon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by James.
Pendragon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pendragon shoots in and drives through. James sprawls well.

Pendragon moves into the clinch successfully.
Pendragon swings wildly with an uppercut but James uses good head movement to avoid it.

Pendragon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. James just stands there and leans against the cage.
Karl James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arturus Pendragon.
Pendragon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
James working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Pendragon is trying to pull guard but James has him pressed against the cage.
James's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
James has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

James fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Pendragon misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Pendragon manages to break the clinch.
Pendragon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

James seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
James swats away the attempt to clinch by Pendragon.

This has been an exciting period of action!
James feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pendragons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
James paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Karl James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pendragon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Pendragon misses with some punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
James tries to throw a body punch but Pendragon avoids it by throwing James back against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by James.
Pendragon tries to score a body lock takedown but James shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pendragon creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Karl James has been cut.

Pendragon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pendragon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
James misses with a double jab.
Pendragon is looking to clinch but James is avoiding it.
James missing with a left hand there. Pendragon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Pendragon tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pendragon fails in his attempt to clinch.
James lands with an uppercut that bounces Pendragon off the cage and back into range.
Pendragon defending well as James loads up on a big left hand.
James avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pendragon swinging wildly here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pendragon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

I was talking to James's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Pendragon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
James connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pendragon's hands.
James connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Left hook, right uppercut from James.


Pendragon is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karl James dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Karl James's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


James bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pendragon's head.
James throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pendragon.
James scores with a hook.
Pendragon is still on wobbly legs! Can James finish him?
Pendragon throws a combination that misses
and James scores with a counter punch that sends Pendragon to the canvas! James smells blood - he's punishing Pendragon with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Pendragon has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karl James!
