The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hyde takes the fight into the clinch.

Rouam jumps guard and drags Hyde to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Hyde keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rouam's head.
Hyde makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Hyde got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rouam has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hyde has managed to get both his arms back between Rouam's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hyde drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rouam looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rouam looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rouam!

Rouam has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hyde uses from the top position.

Rouam throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hyde tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rouam is in Hyde's guard.

Rouam changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hyde looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Rouam. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Rouam feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Rouam shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rouam showed some decent athleticism there.

Rouam is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hyde is just riding it out for now. Rouam eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rouam is trying to control. Hyde wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
