Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sumbu Kalambayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brophy has chosen Boulevard of Broken Dreams as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michael Brophy has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sumbu Kalambayo's chin.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalambayo misses with a left hand
and Brophy counters with a thumping low kick.
Brophy tried to score with a low kick but Kalambayo checks it.
Kalambayo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Brophy finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kalambayo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sumbu Kalambayo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kalambayo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
It looks like Michael Brophy has been cut.

Kalambayo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brophy manages to avoid it.

Brophy has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Kalambayo lunges at Brophy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brophy's hand.
Brophy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brophy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kalambayo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kalambayo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Brophy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A little feinted left hand from Kalambayo on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Brophy! But no joy.

Brophy throws a solid leg kick but Kalambayo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Brophy.
A telegraphed right hand from Kalambayo misses the target.

Kalambayo tries to land a front kick but Brophy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A looping hook to the body misses from Kalambayo. Brophy does a little dance to reset his feet.
A left lands for Brophy.

and Brophy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kalambayo's knee momentarily.

Brophy cracks Kalambayo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Kalambayo throws a shot from downtown. Brophy moves away and avoids it.
Brophy ducks right into an uppercut from Kalambayo.
Brophy cracks Kalambayo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kalambayo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Brophy finish him?
Oh Kalambayo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brophy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brophy is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Kalambayo flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kalambayo is out cold! Brophy holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
