Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz misses with an uppercut. Bravo saw that one coming.
Bravo throws out a counter right but Ortiz avoids it with no problem.
Ortiz swats away the attempt to clinch by Bravo.
Bravo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bravo moves to clinch but Ortiz breaks away
and Ortiz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bravo tries to close the distance and clinch but Ortiz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bravo.
Ortiz appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bravo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ortiz was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bravo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ortiz throwing a counter right hand but Bravo manages to avoid it.
Bravo misses with a takedown
letting Ortiz counter with a right hand.
Brandon Ortiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Bravo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bravo is looking to clinch.
A counter left hand to the body from Ortiz misses its target.

Bravo shoots in and bounces Ortiz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bravo looking to pass the guard.
Bravo looking to sit in guard and control but Ortiz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bravo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bravo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ortiz defends it easily.

Bravo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ortiz has his hands clasped together but Bravo extends and breaks Ortiz's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bravo.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Eddie Bravo!
