PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Pierno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clarence McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierno comes to the cage accompanied by Umberto Tozzi - Gloria. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGee rushes Pierno and presses him up against the cage.
Pierno stalling in the clinch.
McGee using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pierno has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

We've been informed that McGee has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
McGee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Pierno lands the left hand.
Pierno throws a shot to the body.

Pierno tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Pierno has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McGee uses from the top position.
Pierno bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McGee's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now McGee is on top in guard.

Pierno controls McGee momentarily but McGee frees himself.

Pierno is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McGee is aware though and is defending well.

Pierno is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but McGee frees his head nicely. Oh but Pierno has switched to an armbar! McGee is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
