Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave McIntosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Todd looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for McIntosh!

McIntosh throws Todd to one side and escapes!
McIntosh throws a left and a right that both miss

and Todd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McIntosh's guard.

McIntosh is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Todd presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Todd.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Todd just misses with a elbow thrown towards McIntosh's brow.
Todd tries to break the clinch but McIntosh is controlling the position.

Todd throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Todd tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McIntosh fails with a takedown attempt.

Todd tries to clinch there but McIntosh circles away.
Todd's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Todd's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

McIntosh darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Todd throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Todd is trying to control but can't.
McIntosh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McIntosh is trying to control. Todd wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
McIntosh passes to full mount!

Todd is squirming around, avoiding McIntosh's attempts to control the action.
McIntosh lands with some strikes.
Todd taking shots to the head.
Todd really wants to buck McIntosh off and get back to his feet.
Todd tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and McIntosh has taken his back.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards McIntosh.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McIntosh has good solid back control here.

McIntosh is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Todd has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but McIntosh has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Todd taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. McIntosh doesn't care though - he's delighted!
