PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sangram Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perrin GoldenEyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying GoldenEyes's choice of entrance music: Goldfinger Theme Song. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Perrin GoldenEyes!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GoldenEyes stuffs the takedown.
GoldenEyes is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

GoldenEyes tries to work over Singh's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Singh is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

GoldenEyes gets control of Singh's arms and successfully pulls guard. GoldenEyes will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Singh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. GoldenEyes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. GoldenEyes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Singh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Singh tries to get out of the position.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw GoldenEyes working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
