The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Martin tries for a kimura but Young is defending well.
Martin tries to advance to mount but Young denies him.

Martin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Young some visible discomfort.

Martin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Young was covering up waiting for the punch and Martin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
