The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Holmes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Holmes pushes Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.
Johnson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Holmes is trying to trip Johnson. He has hold of a leg but Johnson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Holmes persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Holmes wanted to stand there but Johnson had control of the position.
Holmes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnson is keeping the position for now.
Holmes postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Holmes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holmes is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.
Holmes sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Johnson doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Holmes paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Johnson - great work!
