The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Stark.

Valentine throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stark was covering up waiting for the punch and Valentine finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Stark is wriggling around but Valentine manages to pass to half guard.
Stark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valentine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Valentine prevents Stark from improving his position.
Stark wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stark has hold of Valentine's hands but Valentine slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stark on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Valentine is working for a submission of some sort.

Stark is not content to let Valentine control the position.
Stark has hold of Valentine's hands but Valentine slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Valentine tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stark knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Stark tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Valentine manages to move to mount!
Valentine avoids the attempt from Stark to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stark takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Valentine's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
