The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyeshela swings widly with a right hand
and Hammouche counters with a thumping low kick.
Hammouche uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tyeshela.
A jab from Hammouche finds it's way through Tyeshela's defenses.

It looks like Nika Tyeshela has been cut.
We've been informed that Hammouche has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Tyeshela really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hammouche closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hammouche seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Tyeshela has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hammouche connects with a nice short shot to Tyeshela's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammouche lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Hammouche lands a big elbow - Tyeshela is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Hammouche!
