The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tromp lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Compton circles away quickly and effectively.

and Compton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tromp's guard.
Compton would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Compton wants to finish this one by submission but Tromp is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Compton.
Compton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Compton lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Compton is working for a guillotine from mount but Tromp frees his head quite easily.

Compton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

That was a close round but I would say that Harvey Compton will probably get the nod.

Compton moves forwards but Tromp connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Tromp lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Compton is looking to close the distance but Tromp sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Compton crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Compton is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
