Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nazirite staying out of range there.
Nazirite moves into range and clinches up with Kovalev.
Nazirite gets underhooks to prevent Kovalev's takedown attempt.
Nazirite fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kovalev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nazirite misses the shot to the body.
Kovalev misses with a takedown attempt - Nazirite sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Peter Kovalev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nazirite stuffs the takedown attempt from Kovalev. Kovalev gets slowly back to his feet.

and Nazirite counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Peter Kovalev has been cut.
Kovalev dives in for a single leg takedown but Nazirite sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kovalev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nazirite but Nazirite pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nazirite misses with a looping right.
Kovalev is looking for a counter combo.
Nazirite throws a sloppy head kick and Kovalev moves out of range easily.
Kovalev shoots in for a takedown but Nazirite shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Oh Kovalev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kovalev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kovalev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nazirite avoids it really well and circles away.
Kovalev loads up on a big right hand but Nazirite slips the punch.
Kovalev seems to have got his legs back now.

Nazirite pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kovalev rushes Nazirite and presses him up against the cage.

Nazirite tries a knee to the head but Kovalev blocks it.
Kovalev tries to score a body lock takedown but Nazirite shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Nazirite lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Kovalev looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Kovalev tries to pull guard but Nazirite holds him up against the cage and eventually Kovalev drops back down to his feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nazirite using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kovalev has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kovalev wants to take the fight to the mat but Nazirite manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Nazirite swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's time! Kovalev's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nazirite connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kovalev momentarily.
Kovalev moves away from the strike by Nazirite.
Kovalev glances at the clock... BAM! Nazirite nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Kovalev crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Kovalev is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

In defeat, Peter Kovalev stepped up to the mic, saying 'this aint the last u seen of me!!!'.
