Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arslan Rashid and Stevie Stones. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 wins, 4 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of The Island, Arslan Rashid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 wins, 1 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of The Island, Stevie Stones!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rashid shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stones but Stones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rashid tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Stones tries to keep at a distance but Rashid has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stones is working for takedown but Rashid is calmly controlling the position for now.
Rashid has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Rashid creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Stones managing to block the knees to the body from Rashid.
Stones tries to pull guard but Rashid holds him up against the cage and eventually Stones drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stones jumps guard but Rashid stands there with Stones around his waist. Stones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Arslan Rashid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stevie Stones.
Stones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Rashid is trying to break the clinch but Stones has him pressed against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rashid is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Stones to keep the fight standing.
Stones has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rashid after a bit of a struggle.
Rashid gets underhooks to prevent Stones's takedown attempt.
Rashid wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rashid lands a knee to the body.

Stones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Rashid landing with the ground and pound.
Rashid passes into half guard.
Rashid wants to take a breather but Stones is having none of it.
Stones on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Rashid is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rashid.

Stones looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Stones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rashid pulls his head out easily.
Stones on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Rashid throwing shots but Stones is blocking nicely.
Rashid trying to control from half guard but Stones is working away.
Stones controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Rashid lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rashid looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Rashid working over Stones with some ground and pound. Stones looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Rashid sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stones defending well though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rashid lands strikes from half guard.

Stones is rocked!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rashid lands a nice short elbow.
Stones is still in real trouble! Can Rashid finish him?
Stones taking some punishment here, with Rashid in his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rashid lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Stones quite badly. Stones pulls Rashid in close trying to recover. Rashid postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Stones on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Stones doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arslan Rashid!
