Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Waldo Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateusz Ciechan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mateusz Ciechan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Waldo Horton's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ciechan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Horton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Horton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Horton is looking to reverse the position.
Horton manages to get back to half guard.
Ciechan thows a huge punch but Horton dodges it nicely.
Horton trying to control but Ciechan postures up.
Ciechan is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Horton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ciechan decides to return to a standing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horton goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ciechan avoids the head kick by Horton.

Ciechan feints and as Horton raises his hands in defense, Ciechan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ciechan is looking to work some ground and pound but Horton has wrist control.
Ciechan postures up and lands a big shot to Horton's brow.
Ciechan's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Ciechan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ciechan stopping the sweep attempt from Horton.
Ciechan advances to half guard.
Ciechan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ciechan wants to free his trapped foot but Horton is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ciechan is looking for a kimura but Horton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ciechan to get the leverage.
Ciechan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Ciechan stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Ciechan closes the distance and clinches.

Horton is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ciechan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Horton to the mat. Horton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Ciechan gets to his feet - Horton follows without any prompting.
Horton works over Ciechan's head and body with a nice combination.

Ciechan clinches with his opponent.
Horton is trying to force a seperation but Ciechan has the dominant position.

Ciechan drags the fight down to the ground.
Ciechan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Ciechan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Horton is one step ahead there.

Horton drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ciechan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ciechan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ciechan!

Horton tries to improve position but can't.
Horton is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Ciechan is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Horton is breathing heavily.
Horton wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ciechan.
Ciechan is landing with some decent strikes but Horton is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Horton is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ciechan with shots to the head and body - Horton looks very uncomfortable down there.
Oh Horton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ciechan content just to control the position here.
Let's hope that Ciechan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like Ciechan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Ciechan unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Horton wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Ciechan celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
