Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Stampfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atlas Metaxas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metaxas tries to clinch but Stampfer moves out of range.
Stampfer lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Atlas Metaxas has been cut.
Metaxas feints and then cracks Stampfer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stampfer down.

Stampfer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Stampfer digs a right hand into Metaxas's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Metaxas's gas tank.
Stampfer misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Metaxas lands a body punch in the clinch.
Stampfer lands a right hand that snaps the head of Metaxas backwards.

Stampfer has Metaxas pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Stampfer pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Metaxas tumbling to the mat - Stampfer dives into Metaxas's guard.

Stampfer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Metaxas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stampfer has managed to get both his arms back between Metaxas's legs - danger averted.
Stampfer is in close to Metaxas's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stampfer content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Metaxas has locked up a guillotine! Metaxas's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Stampfer is holding on here and Metaxas must be using up a lot of energy. Stampfer has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Metaxas gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
