Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harlon Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desean Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hughes instigates a clinch.
Bryant is trying to pull guard but Hughes has him pressed against the cage.
Bryant has Hughes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hughes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hughes unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bryant lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hughes lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hughes lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Hughes landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Hughes is pressed up against the cage. Bryant has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hughes down to the mat. Hughes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Harlon Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Desean Bryant.
Bryant shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hughes defends it nicely.
Hughes scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bryant doesn't seem bothered though.
Hughes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bryant is trying to force a seperation but Hughes has the dominant position.
A nice right hand lands inside from Hughes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bryant wants to break free but Hughes has control.
Bryant avoids the elbow strike from Hughes, against the cage.
Hughes lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bryant backwards.
Hughes lands a knee to the body.
Bryant looks winded!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hughes unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bryant lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hughes connects with a knee to the head.

Bryant is rocked!

It looks like Desean Bryant has been cut.
Bryant takes an elbow to the temple.
Bryant is still on wobbly legs! Can Hughes finish him?
Hughes dips a shoulder and cracks Bryant with a mighty uppercut! Bryant falls back against the cage and Hughes unloads with a barrage of strikes! Bryant is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Hughes screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
