Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wesson misses with an uppercut.
Wesson stuffs the takedown attempt from Culture. Culture gets slowly back to his feet.
A left and a right from Wesson both land. Nice combination.
Wesson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Culture throws a lazy head kick
and Wesson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Culture shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Wesson to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Culture takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Wesson throws a combination. Culture tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Culture takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Culture uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wesson.

Wesson throws a jab when Culture was well out of range.
Culture wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Culture changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wesson tries to avoid it but Culture manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wesson to the ground. Wesson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oh Culture is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wesson drops his shoulder and cracks Culture with a huge uppercut! Culture goes down! Can Wesson finish him?
Culture controls Wesson momentarily but Wesson frees himself.

Wesson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Culture looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Culture looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Culture!
Culture seems to have got his legs back now.
Wesson is looking to regain half guard here but Culture keeps moving and retains side control.

Wesson has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Wesson is looking to control Culture's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wesson avoid being mounted?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Wesson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Culture doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wesson counters with a stiff right hand.

Culture takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wesson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Culture fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wesson, pushing him back against the cage.

Wesson jumps guard but Culture stands there with Wesson around his waist. Wesson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Culture is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Wesson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Wesson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Culture breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wesson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wesson scores with a nice head shot.
Wesson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Culture tries for a takedown but Wesson circles away easily
and Wesson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Culture looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Wesson jabs Culture to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Wesson lands with a big left! Culture is wobbled badly! Wesson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Culture to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
