The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Priest tries to bum rush Alvarez with a series of wild strikes but Alvarez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Alvarez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Priest walks away with a smile on his face. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Dave Priest seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Let's hope that Alvarez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Alvarez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Priest is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Alvarez has taken his back.

Priest won't enjoy being in this position. Alvarez looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Priest is tapping - it's over boys! Alvarez picks up the submission victory!
