Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ken Kahne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Webbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Kahne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oliver Webbs!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Webbs counters with a solid body kick.
Webbs pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kahne changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kahne lands a jab.
Webbs bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
A slow jab from Kahne misses its intended target.
Kahne lands with a good body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Webbs attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Webbs throws a head kick that misses.
Kahne throws a leg kick but Webbs sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Kahne feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Webbss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kahne throws out a powerful jab.
Webbs moves out of range of the body kick.
Webbs has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kahne avoids the head kick by Webbs.
Webbs misses with a leg kick

and Kahne counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Kahne looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Webbs is trying to get back to full guard.

Kahne trying to pass the guard but Webbs defending well.
Kahne is thwarting Webbs's attempts to control the position.
We've been hearing that Kahne has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Kahne is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Webbs holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kahne tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Webbs is trying desperately to improve position.

Webbs is squirming around, avoiding Kahne's attempts to control the action.

Kahne is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Webbs has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Webbs!

Kahne escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Webbs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Webbs working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kahne's head.
Kahne seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kahne looking for a guillotine here but Webbs defends easily.
Kahne looking to hit a scissor sweep but Webbs is one step ahead there.
Kahne lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Webbs looking for a sweep. Not yet Webbs, not yet.

Ken Kahne dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kahne tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A clash of legs there as Kahne blocks the low kick.
Kahne catches Webbs with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Good work by Webbs as he checks the leg kick.
Webbs is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Kahne lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Webbs fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kahne.
Webbs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Ken Kahne is winning the standup battle so far.
Webbs staying out of range there.
Despite the aggression on Webbs's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Kahne on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Webbs. Webbs obviously looking to wear him down.

Webbs keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Good leg kick by Kahne there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kahne throws an overhand right that lands on Webbs's shoulder, as Webbs tries to avoid the shot.
Webbs turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Webbs throws a head kick that misses.
Webbs connects with a crisp jab.
Webbs tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kahne was well out of range. Poor timing from Webbs.

and Webbs counters with a series of strikes. Kahne will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kahne on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Kahne misses with a low kick.
Webbs throws a sloppy head kick and Kahne moves out of range easily.
Webbs keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Webbs flicks out a counter leg kick but Kahne steps away.
Kahne avoids the head kick by Webbs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kahne ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Webbs lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kahne tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Webbs defends well and Kahne ends up having to push Webbs into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kahne, as that shot connected.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kahne, right into the meat.
Kahne is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That kick from Kahne tenderised Webbs's leg. Webbs is trying to keep his angry face on.

Kahne scores with a jab.
Kahne takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Donk. Webbs catches Kahne right on the button with a cross.
Webbs ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Webbs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A jab-cross combination lands for Webbs and sends Kahne crashing to the mat! Webbs follows him down to the mat - Kahne regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kahne wants to control but Webbs is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Webbs trying to control from half guard but Kahne is working away.
Kahne wants to get back to full guard but Webbs has passed into side control.

Webbs scores with a couple of short elbows.
Webbs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kahne keeps working.
Kahne tries to bench press Webbs off him but Webbs keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kahne regains half guard.
Kahne trying to control but Webbs postures up.
Kahne tries to roll over but Webbs keeps him under control.

Oliver Webbs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Kahne shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Webbs is trying to defend but Kahne finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kahne is working for a submission of some sort.
Kahne tries to pass to full mount but Webbs defends it.

Ken Kahne overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Webbs, right into the meat.
Webbs throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Webbs feints and then cracks Kahne's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kahne down.
Webbs chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kahne tests Webbs's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Webbs takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Webbs scores with a kick to the midsection.
A big right from Kahne misses.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Webbs.
Kahne changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Webbs, as that shot connected.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kahne checks a leg kick.

Kahne fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Webbs sprawls well initially but Kahne persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kahne is looking to take a break and control but Webbs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kahne is pressing down on Webbs's thigh, looking to free his foot. Webbs is holding on for now.
Kahne looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kahne blocks the strikes from Webbs.

Well, if Kahne is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
