Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Filipe Acosta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Rasmussen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Acosta comes to the cage accompanied by Saw Theme. Rasmussen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Era – Ameno kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acosta has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rasmussen finds it's way round the side to connect with Acosta's head.

Acosta stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rasmussen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Acosta is in close to Rasmussen's body, working some short punches and elbows.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Acosta distracts Rasmussen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rasmussen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Acosta is controlling him.

Acosta gets to his feet and stands over Rasmussen, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Rasmussen felt that one! Acosta unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Rasmussen from any more punishment!
