The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evans fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Downem, pushing him back against the cage.
Downem wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Downem's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Evans creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Downem misses with a hook from the clinch.

Dai Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Downem is looking to take a break and control but Evans is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Downem swats away the attempt to clinch by Evans.
Downem tries a quick counter leg kick but Evans is wise to it.

Evans circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Downem drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Evans follows Downem to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Dai Evans spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
