The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas has a takedown stuffed.

Thomas drives through and clinches with Jackson against the cage.
Thomas tries to stall but Jackson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Thomas is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jackson to keep the fight standing.
Thomas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Jackson lands a takedown into guard.
Thomas wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jackson manages to pass to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas is looking to get back to is feet but Jackson passes into side control.

Thomas tries to improve position but can't.

Thomas has left one of his arms exposed and Jackson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Thomas screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
