The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Watson tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hensen counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Watson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hensen.

Hensen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hensen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hensen won't allow Watson to sweep him here.

Watson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Watson is looking for a sweep. Hensen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hensen is working for a kimura but Watson is defending it quite comfortably.
Hensen is just content to waste time from the top position. Watson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Hensen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Watson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Watson has escaped and now he's on top!

Watson content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hensen has locked up a guillotine! Hensen's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Watson is holding on here and Hensen must be using up a lot of energy. Watson has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hensen gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
