Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernie Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philipp Heiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Philipp Heiser!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heiser drives through with a takedown into Suarez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

It looks like Heiser might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Suarez is trying to control Heiser's posture but Heiser avoids it.
Heiser is looking to take a break and control but Suarez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Suarez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Heiser has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Suarez wants to control but Heiser postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ernie Suarez will probably get the nod.

Heiser throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Suarez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Heiser is in Suarez's guard.

Heiser not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Suarez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Heiser is trying to control but can't.

Suarez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Suarez tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Suarez looks to land a strike but Heiser avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Heiser dives in for a single leg takedown but Suarez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Suarez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Heiser pulls Suarez in to control the position.
Suarez stays in close to Heiser's body and controls the position.

Suarez will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Suarez wants to get back to his feet but Heiser is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Heiser is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Heiser has Suarez pulled in close to control his posture.

Philipp Heiser has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Suarez wants to control from the top but Heiser keeps moving.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Heiser is pulling down on Suarez's head. It's preventing any offense from Suarez, at least for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Ernie Suarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suarez tries a head kick but it misses.
Suarez throws a right and a left that both miss.

Heiser scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Heiser.
Heiser takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Suarez counters by moving into the clinch.
Ernie Suarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Philipp Heiser.

Suarez decides to pull guard.
Suarez is trying to control the position but Heiser postures up.

Suarez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Heiser is controlling him.

Well Suarez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
