The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawler tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Khan lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Robbie Lawler has been cut.
Lawler lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Khan throws the left hand but Lawler avoids the punch easily.
Lawler misses with a combination
and Khan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Khan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Khan lands a glancing blow to the side of Lawler's head.
Lawler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Khan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Khan has Lawler up against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lawler trying to control the position but instead, Khan has worked for underhooks and has pushed Lawler into the cage.

Lawler tries to land knees in the clinch but Khan avoids the damage to the body.
Lawler throws a head punch that misses.
Khan scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Lawler is rocked!
Khan lands a big right hand that drops Lawler! The killer instinct kicks in and Khan finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Khan!
