Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between De Janeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Razval Saraev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, De Janeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Razval Saraev!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saraev shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Janeiro is trying to defend but Saraev finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Saraev takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Saraev trying to mount his opponent but Janeiro defends it.
Saraev not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Saraev slips a nice elbow through Janeiro's hands, connecting with Janeiro's forehead.
Saraev wants to control but Janeiro is keeping him busy.

Janeiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saraev thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Saraev is trying to control. Janeiro wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saraev passes the guard and advances to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saraev lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Janeiro hang on?
Saraev throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Saraev trying to control but Janeiro is having none of it.
Janeiro in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Saraev controlling the position easily from mount.
Janeiro is bucking up trying to escape but Saraev cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saraev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Janeiro is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Janeiro bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Saraev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Saraev controlling the position.

Janeiro drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Saraev manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Janeiro has Saraev in his guard.

Janeiro utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Saraev is in close to Janeiro's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Saraev trying to control the position from guard on top but Janeiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Saraev chips away with some ground and pound.
Saraev throws a big elbow that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Saraev is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Saraev lands a couple of elbows.
Saraev is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Saraev wants to control from the top but Janeiro keeps moving.
Saraev with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Razval Saraev dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Janeiro tries to sprawl but Saraev drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Razval Saraev has got the better of the ground game so far.

Janeiro actively working from the bottom here.
Saraev thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Janeiro's head.
Janeiro is looking for a sweep. Saraev is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Still in half guard, Saraev seems content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saraev thows a huge punch but Janeiro dodges it nicely.

Saraev has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Janeiro is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Saraev scores with a couple of nice shots.

Saraev content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Saraev not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Well, if Saraev is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Saraev is looking to take a break and control but Janeiro is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Saraev throws a strike but Janeiro avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Saraev trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Saraev controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Saraev looks to score with a jab to the body but Janeiro is just out of range.
Janeiro attempts a counter takedown but Saraev avoids it well and moves away.

Saraev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Janeiro is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Saraev wants to control from the top but Janeiro keeps moving.
Saraev is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Saraev chips away with some ground and pound.
Saraev landing some decent shots from guard.


Janeiro is rocked!
Saraev arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Janeiro's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Razval Saraev!
Razval Saraev very nearly forgot to thank Highland Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
