Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Moshington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Papa Shango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moshington's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Common Enemny - Pit Trilogy. The key to victory for George Moshington has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Papa Shango!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shango avoids the body shot from Moshington.
Shango wants to counter with a clinch but Moshington pushes him away.
Moshington works over Shango's head and body with a nice combination.
Moshington throws out a loose jab but Shango uses good head movement to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shango is looking for a sweep. Moshington is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Shango counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Shango.
Shango jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Moshington walks away with a smile on his face. Shango gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Moshington is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Moshington cracks Shango with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Moshington has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Shango to stand back up!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shango seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Moshington does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Papa Shango has got the better of the ground game so far.

Shango looking for a submission but Moshington manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Moshington has his foot on Shango's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shango works his way back into a safe position though.

Shango felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Moshington cracks Shango on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Shango falls backwards against the cage. Moshington follows up with more strikes that drop Shango to his knees. Moshington keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Shango! This one is all over!
