Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mutsu xx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mutsu xx has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Stephan Hicks's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mutsu xx!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
xx shoots in but no luck this time.
A counter left hand to the body from Hicks misses its target.
xx throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hicks's waist but Hicks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing xx off to one side.

Hicks has closed the distance and engaged xx in a clinch.

xx breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hicks enables xx to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hicks manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
xx is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hicks is trying to control the position but xx postures up.
Hicks throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
xx wants to control from the top but Hicks keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
xx sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hicks's guard.
Hicks is trying to get back to full guard.
Hicks is working hard here to advance position.

xx is working for a kimura but Hicks is defending it quite comfortably.
Hicks wants to control but xx is keeping busy.
xx blocks the strikes from Hicks.
Hicks is trying to control but can't.

xx maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hicks could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but xx has cracked it and Hicks is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by xx!

In his post fight interview, Mutsu xx started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
