The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Weeks tries to clinch up but Garcia circles away and keeps his distance.
Weeks has closed the distance and engaged Garcia in a clinch.
Garcia is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Weeks is defending well.
Weeks with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Weeks gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Weeks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Weeks throwing strikes but missing.
Weeks has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Weeks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Weeks is looking to work some ground and pound but Garcia has wrist control.
Weeks throws an elbow that misses. Garcia uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Weeks's guard. Nice move by Garcia!
Weeks looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Garcia has picked Weeks up and slammed him! Weeks can't keep hold of the triangle and Garcia manages to pass to side control!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Weeks tries to bench press Garcia off him but Garcia keeps the position.
Garcia has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Weeks is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Garcia yanks on the arm and Weeks is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Garcia.
