The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Smultz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Striker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Smultz tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Striker is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Smultz is controlling him well.
Striker sneaks out the side door and pushes Smultz away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Smultz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Striker but Striker pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Striker throws a combination. Smultz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Jon Smultz has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Striker lands an uppercut, right on the button! Smultz tumbles backwards into the ropes, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
