The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barlow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferreira's waist but Ferreira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barlow off to one side.
Ferreira unleashes a big counter combination but Barlow bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Barlow shoots for a double leg takedown but Ferreira sprawls well. He's pushed Barlow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ferreira bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Barlow is looking to get back to his feet here but Ferreira is keeping cool and he's managed to take Barlow's back.
Ferreira connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Barlow to escape the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Barlow looks up at the clock and then as Ferreira takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Barlow smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
We've been informed that Ferreira has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
