Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ernie Suarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roman Reigns!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reigns tries for a takedown but Suarez circles away easily
and Suarez counters with a slapping leg kick.
Reigns dives in and grabs Suarez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Suarez pushes down on Reigns's head and hops out.

Suarez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Suarez has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Reigns off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Reigns closes the distance and pushes Suarez back into the cage.
Suarez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Suarez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Suarez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Suarez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Reigns drives through and clinches with Suarez against the cage.

Reigns has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Suarez regains guard immediately.

Reigns is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Suarez presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Reigns gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Suarez has his feet on Reigns's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Suarez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Reigns counters with a nice body shot.
Reigns leaves Suarez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Roman Reigns will probably get the nod.

Reigns's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Reigns throws a push kick but Suarez slaps the foot to one side.
Reigns swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Reigns tries to land a leg kick but Suarez saw it coming and moves away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Suarez scores with a shot to the side of Reigns's head.
Reigns tries to break free but Suarez pushes him back against the cage.

Suarez lands a takedown into guard.
Reigns is adopting a defensive guard.
Reigns looking to control.
Reigns wants to hit a switch here but Suarez passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Reigns there!

Suarez looking to secure an arm triangle but Reigns defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suarez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Reigns is wriggling around trying to escape.
Reigns tries to hold on but Suarez pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reigns shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Suarez but Suarez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Reigns gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Suarez jumps guard but Reigns stands there with Suarez around his waist. Suarez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Suarez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Reigns is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Suarez is trying to keep Reigns in close.
Reigns trying to control but Suarez is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

I would just about give that final round to Roman Reigns.
I think Reigns has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
