The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sidious fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ford on the side of the head.
Ford shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sidious defends it nicely.
Sidious is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Sidious throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ford walks into a left hand.
Ford takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sidious throws a hook but Ford avoids it easily.
Ford half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Sidious has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ford is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Ford fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ford closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sidious circles away.
It seemed like Sidious was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Sidious lands a really nice looking cross but Ford seems unphased.

Darth Sidious is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ford fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sidious avoids it really well and circles away.
Ford shoots in looking for a takedown but Sidious manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ford's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sidious swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Ford moves out of range as Sidious strikes.
Ford with a lazy takedown attempt
and Sidious counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ford takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ford takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ford tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sidious defends well and Ford ends up having to push Sidious into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Sidious looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Sidious punishes Ford's body with a nice straight punch.
Ford is breathing heavily.
Ford needs to keep his hands up - Sidious had a free shot at his head there.

Sidious lands with a cross.
Sidious throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Ford crashing down! Ford tries to stagger back to his feet but Sidious just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Ford asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
