Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julio Galvao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Xi Lim!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lim swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lim tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Galvao was well out of range. Poor timing from Lim.

Galvao displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lim throws out the jab.
Galvao wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

I was talking to Galvao's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Galvao manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Lim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Galvao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lim wants to control from the top but Galvao keeps moving.
Lim slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Galvao has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lim has managed to get both his arms back between Galvao's legs - danger averted.

Lim is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Galvao has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lim is looking to defend but Galvao has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lim! Galvao pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lim taps out and this one is all over!
