Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Davie Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kern Dignity (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brophy's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Proclaimers - 500 Miles. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kern Dignity!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Brophy misses.
A nice side step and Dignity releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
A bone on bone clash there as Dignity blocks the leg kick.
Dignity takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Brophy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Brophy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Dignity tries to land a front kick but Brophy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Nice uppercut lands for Brophy. That snapped Dignity's head back.
Dignity throws a push kick but Brophy slaps the foot to one side.
Dignity misses the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brophy throws a shot from downtown. Dignity moves away and avoids it.
Dignity scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brophy doesn't seem bothered though.
Dignity takes a swing at Brophy's ribcage but misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dignity has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Brophy throws a low kick, looking for Dignity's leg but Dignity calmly moves out of range.

Brophy misses with a straight right.
Brophy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Brophy misses with a left hand
and Dignity counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Brophy is controlling Dignity's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Dignity wants to take a breather but Brophy is having none of it.
Brophy tries to get to full guard but Dignity has control of the leg.
Brophy is positioning himself well to prevent Dignity advancing to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brophy regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Dignity.

Dignity is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Brophy wants to sweep here but Dignity controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Brophy lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dignity throws a lazy body kick
and Brophy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Brophy motions for Dignity to come forward. Brophy throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Brophy tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dignity is able to avoid easily.
Brophy misses with an uppercut.
Dignity throws a head kick but Brophy moves out of range.
Brophy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dignity.
Brophy cracks Dignity with a good jab.

Brophy takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Dignity fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dignity shoots in looking for a takedown but Brophy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dignity's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dignity throws a head kick that misses.
Dignity shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Dignity is rocked!
Brophy knocks out Dignity with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Brophy before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Brophy picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Davie Brophy!
Davie Brophy decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
