PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carmelo Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teu cu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teu cu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carmelo Willis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Teu cu!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

cu has taken the fight to the clinch.

Willis gets control of cu's arms and successfully pulls guard. Willis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Willis has control of cu's left arm, preventing cu from doing any damage.
Willis wants to sweep but no luck.
cu looking to sit in guard and control but Willis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Willis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
cu wants to stand and escape but Willis is having none of it.
Willis lands a couple of elbows.
cu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
cu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Willis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
cu has momentary wrist control but Willis slips an elbow through the middle.
Willis is in close to cu's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Willis with a nice head shot there.
Willis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Willis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of cu's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Willis is working cu over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

cu is rocked!

It looks like Teu cu has been cut.
Willis really is a fat lump.

Willis stands and steps away. cu gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
cu is still on wobbly legs! Can Willis finish him?

Willis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
cu looks winded!

Willis gets to his feet and stands over cu, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! cu felt that one! Willis unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save cu from any more punishment!
