Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfredo Leija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Araujo comes to the cage accompanied by Who Shot Ya?. Leija has chosen Original Nuttah as his entrance music. Luiz Araujo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leija thuds his right hand into Araujo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Araujo darts in and clinches Leija up against the cage.

Araujo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Araujo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Leija is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Araujo, into his guard.

Leija avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Leija got a little sloppy there for a moment and Araujo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Leija has managed to get both his arms back between Araujo's legs - danger averted.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Leija stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Araujo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Araujo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Leija counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Leija lands a nice looking body shot.
Araujo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Araujo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Leija stuffs the takedown attempt from Araujo. Araujo gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Araujo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Araujo dives in for a single leg takedown but Leija sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Leija fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Araujo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Leija lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Leija dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Araujo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Leija counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Araujo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Araujo is defended easily by Leija .
Leija bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Araujo's head backwards.
Leija throws a shot to the body.
Araujo misses with a takedown
and Leija counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Araujo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Leija is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Araujo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Araujo is breathing heavily.
Araujo bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Leija comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Araujo falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Araujo was out before he hit the floor!
