Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tim Lincekum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnaton Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick throws a leg kick
and Lincekum connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Quick shoots in for a takedown but Lincekum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Johnaton Quick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quick doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lincekum connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Quick goes for a double leg but Lincekum avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lincekum continues to drive forward.
Tim Lincekum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnaton Quick.

Quick is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Lincekum throws an uppercut from hell that sends Quick clean off his feet! He's out cold! Lincekum stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

After the fight, Tim Lincekum was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
