Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Terrell Grant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Abed Nadir!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Grant.
Nadir tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Grant shoots in looking for a takedown. Nadir tries to sprawl out of it but Grant keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nadir manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And Nadir tries to counter it with a takedown but Grant pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Abed Nadir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nadir will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Nadir counters with a nice double leg into side control. Grant won't be happy with that.
Grant is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nadir off and has taken his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grant seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Nadir's chin but Nadir turns very nicely into Grant's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Nadir.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Grant tries to roll over but Nadir keeps him under control.
Nadir passes into side control, despite Grant's attempt to control the position.

Abed Nadir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terrell Grant.
