Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jukka Toskala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Henry Ford!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toskala throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ford tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Toskala paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Toskala instigates a clinch.
Toskala misses with some punches.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Toskala.
Toskala misses with a hook from the clinch.
Ford fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Nice body punch from Toskala - that landed with a thud.
Toskala lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ford backwards.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Ford.
Toskala lands a shoulder strike.
Good body shot from Toskala.
Toskala lands a nice uppercut.
Toskala lands with a short head shot on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Toskala escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ford uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Toskala.
Ford avoids the body shot from Toskala.
Toskala ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ford moves away.
Ford shoots in and drives through. Toskala sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ford keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ford throws a combination that misses
and Toskala cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ford looks winded!
Toskala looks to land a left hand but Ford moved out of range nicely.
Ford tries to bum rush Toskala with a series of wild strikes but Toskala uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ford tries to score a power double leg takedown but Toskala sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ford somewhat.
Toskala cracks Ford with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Toskala has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ford to stand back up!
Ford is rocked!
Toskala drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Ford's head, knocking him out cold! Toskala is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jukka Toskala!
After winning the bout, Jukka Toskala thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
