Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Medici (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vincent Medici!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Miller!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Medici's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Miller felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
BOOM! Medici connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Medici working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Miller turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Medici off and cradles Miller's limp body as Medici celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Vincent Medici!
