Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donn King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Smit!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smit looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

King has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Smit off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
King shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smit as he avoids it easily.

King rushes Smit and presses him up against the cage.
King tries to break the clinch but Smit is controlling the position.

Smit pulls guard successfully.
Smit is trying to control the position from the bottom.
King would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Smit is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
King landing with the ground and pound.
Smit working a defensive guard but King manages to pass into side control anyway.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smit is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but King is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
King could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
King punishing his opponent with strikes.
King is in the full mount, landing strikes.
King with shots to the head and body - Smit looks very uncomfortable down there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smit can do anything to dispel that myth.
Smit wants to control but King is having none of it.
King drops a big elbow. That's hurt Smit! More shots from King and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
