These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lara shoots in but no luck this time.
Kokalovic looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Kokalovic pushes Lara up against the cage in a clinch.
Lara is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Lara tries to pull guard but Kokalovic won't allow it.
Lara is trying to push Kokalovic away but Kokalovic has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lara fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Kokalovic gets control of Lara's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kokalovic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
