Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Stackhouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Riggs could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dean Stackhouse's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stackhouse as he jumps to the side.
Riggs shoots for a double leg takedown but Stackhouse sprawls well. He's pushed Riggs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
As Riggs backs off Stackhouse throws a huge counter combo but Riggs manages to avoid it all.
A nice combination there by Stackhouse.

It looks like Ryan Riggs has been cut.

and Stackhouse cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Riggs. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Riggs gets a double leg takedown into Stackhouse's guard.
Riggs connects with a couple of short punches.

It looks like Dean Stackhouse has been cut.
Riggs throws an elbow that misses. Stackhouse uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Riggs's guard. Nice move by Stackhouse!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stackhouse enables Riggs to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stackhouse manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Riggs has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stackhouse can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
