PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivo Koljeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koljeno has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ivo Koljeno!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ben Watson and Chris Dean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Koljeno, pushing him back against the cage.
Koljeno looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Jones wants the takedown. Koljeno is fighting it off but Jones persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Koljeno's guard against the cage.

Jones stands and steps away. Koljeno gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Koljeno on his heels. He'll look to pass Koljeno's guard now, I'm sure.
Koljeno is looking to stand back up but Jones counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Koljeno.

Jones stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Jones works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jones seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Koljeno is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
