The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Pettis. That snapped Medici's head back.
It looks like Vincent Medici has been cut.
Medici drives through and clinches with Pettis against the ropes.
Pettis wants to get back to striking at distance but Medici won't allow it.
Pettis breaks the clinch.
Pettis connects with a body shot.
Medici is looking to clinch but Pettis is avoiding it.
Pettis clobbers Medici with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Pettis scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Pettis lands a lovely overhand right.
Pettis fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A left lands for Pettis.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pettis misses with a wild body shot.
As Pettis backs away, Medici returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Pettis lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Medici is rocked!
Pettis drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Medici's head, knocking him out cold! Pettis is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anthony Pettis!
