Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Booth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hewitt Longtry!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longtry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Booth moves away.

Longtry gets tackled into the cage by Booth. Booth maintains the clinch.

Booth gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Longtry is looking to stand up but Booth isn't so interested in that idea.
Booth lands a couple of digs.
Booth lands a couple of elbows.
Longtry is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Booth is controlling him.
Booth is in close to Longtry's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Longtry wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Booth manages to pass to side control.

Booth is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Booth will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Longtry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Booth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Booth looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Longtry avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Booth.

Booth lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Booth looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Longtry with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Booth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Longtry is trying to stand up here but Booth is controlling him well.

Booth is nestled in close to Longtry, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Longtry pushes Booth off, looking to escape but Booth dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Longtry is forced to tap! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Aaron Booth!
